Sales Development Intern
Spring 2025
Role Overview
As a Sales Development Intern, you will play a pivotal role in the business development
process by identifying and qualifying leads, supporting our mortgage brokers, and driving sales
initiatives. You will learn about the mortgage industry while building skills in prospecting,
relationship management, and sales strategy. This is a hands-on role designed to give you
exposure to key aspects of banking and the mortgage industry.
Key Responsibilities
● Outreach: Reaching out to warm leads to generate business opportunities for brokers
● Qualifying Leads: Evaluate leads based on their needs, financial situation, and
readiness to explore mortgage options, and pass qualified leads to mortgage brokers.
● Collaboration with Brokers: Work closely with the mortgage brokers to ensure leads
are effectively nurtured and converted into clients.
● CRM Management: Update and maintain the customer relationship management (CRM)
system to track lead progress and interactions.
● Follow-Up: Perform timely follow-ups with leads to provide additional information,
answer questions, and build relationships that result in new business.
● Sales Reporting: Provide regular reports on lead generation on conversion rates.
Qualifications & Skills
● Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
● Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage professionally
with prospects.
● Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn about the mortgage
and finance industry.
● Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) is a plus, but not required.
● A natural problem-solver with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
● Sales or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.

the company’s social media presence. You’ll work independently to create engaging content that
resonates with prospective homebuyers, real estate agents, and financial partners. Your content
will highlight our expertise in mortgage brokerage while enhancing brand visibility across
platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop creative content ideas that align with the company’s branding and messaging
related to mortgage and home buying.
● Create and post visually appealing graphics, videos, and stories for social media
platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
● Write clear, concise, and engaging captions that communicate complex financial
concepts in a relatable way.
● Create a plan and execute social media campaigns to increase followers, engagement,
and lead generation.
